Manager Turnaround Management Office (m/f/d)
Mutares SE & Co. KGaA, Munich (www.mutares.com), as a listed private equity holding company, acquires medium-sized companies in special situations, based in Europe, which show significant operational improvement potential and are sold again after undergoing a repositioning and stabilization process. Mutares actively support its portfolio companies with its own investment and consulting teams and through strategic add-on acquisitions. The focus is on companies with revenues of EUR 100 million to EUR 750 million from the following segments: Automotive & Mobility, Engineering & Technology, Goods & Services and Retail & Food. The aim is to achieve a clear value increase with a focus on sustainable, long-term growth of the portfolio company.
Within our OPS team, we are looking to hire a leader who has a successful track record in Turnaround Management Office with a continuous improvement attitude and an entrepreneurial mindset. This role will be located at portfolio companies, on site across Europe.
Your Tasks- Supporting our portfolio companies in their turnaround journey, by working closely with the management board and the Mutares team
- Establishing a business plan incl. a turnaround concept and driving the implementation together with the Mutares team and the portfolio company
- Assessment of strategic decisions (e.g. Insourcing/Outsourcing) together with the local teams and the Mutares team
- Supporting the acquisition and integration process of add on acquisitions
- Establishing the management governance and coherent tracking and reporting within the portfolio company
- Management of different stakeholders together with the finance team and the management board
- Working at the intersection between the portfolio company and Mutares
- Driving improvement initiatives and knowledge development for Mutares Operations
- 4 years of experience in relevant fields
- Master studies in the field of economics, engineering, science or similar with outstanding results
- Experience in transformations, restructuring or turnaround situations is a plus
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams in complex situations
- Structured and pragmatic approach to solve problems and drive impact combined with an entrepreneurial and team mindset
- Proficiency with the MS-Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint)
- Strong commitment, flexibility and motivation
- Fluent English and one other European language
- Willingness to travel 4 days per week (typ. Mo-Thu)
