KGaA, Munich (www.mutares.com), acquires medium-sized companies and parts of groups with headquarter in Europe that are being sold in the course of a repositioning process at their owners and show a clear potential for operational improvement. Mutares actively supports and develops its portfolio companies with its own investment and consulting teams as well as through acquisitions of strategic add-ons. Our goal is to acquire companies with a turnover of EUR 50 to 500 million. The aim is to achieve a clear value increase with a focus on sustainable, long-term growth of the portfolio company.

We are looking for a (Senior) Associate Tax (m/f/d) for our Tax department in our Munich office.

Your Tasks
  • Support in (cross-border) restructurings as well as national, international and foreign tax law issues arising in this context
  • Further development of internal processes in the area of transfer pricing, as well as monitoring and coordination of legal documentation requirements
  • Coordination of the process for determining income taxes according to IAS 12/ IAS 34 in the context of the preparation of consolidated and annual financial statements ("tax accounting")
  • Monitoring of tax risks of the group and support in the analysis and preparation of regulatory changes in national and international tax law and development of recommendations for action to minimise risks
  • Support in company acquisitions and disposals, as well as integration processes
  • Supporting the portfolio companies in complex tax and corporate law issues
Your Profile
  • Completed studies in the field of economics, business law or comparable qualification with specialisation in taxes and finance
  • Successfully completed tax advisor examination desirable
  • 2 to 4 years of professional experience in legal/tax consultancy or in a group environment, with a focus on international tax law, transfer pricing and/or tax accounting
  • Knowledge of foreign accounting and foreign tax law desirable
  • High motivation, flexibility and willingness to work hard
  • Independent and structured way of working
  • Very good knowledge of English
  • Confident handling of MS Office applications (esp. Excel)
