Mutares SE & Co. KGaA, Munich (www.mutares.com), acquires medium-sized companies and parts of groups with headquarter in Europe that are being sold in the course of a repositioning process at their owners and show a clear potential for operational improvement. Mutares actively supports and develops its portfolio companies with its own investment and consulting teams as well as through acquisitions of strategic add-ons. Our goal is to acquire companies with a turnover of EUR 50 to 500 million. The aim is to achieve a clear value increase with a focus on sustainable, long-term growth of the portfolio company.

For one of our portfolio companies we are looking for a Sales Director in Europe (m/f/d) as soon as possible.

The Sales Director is responsible for the development of the client account and is responsible for all strategic and commercial aspects of the client account. His tasks include the development of the client relationship, project acquisition and the maintenance and increase of project profitability. To this end, the Sales Director works with a cross-functional team and leads his own team to achieve these goals. The Sales Director is the main interface with the client's purchasing organisation.

Your Tasks
  • Definition of the customer strategy according to the product portfolio
  • Establish and develop a close relationship with the customer contacts (purchasing, technical, programes)
  • Responsibility for commercial aspects of the project throughout the project life cycle
  • Tracking the variable cost margin of the products/projects throughout the life cycle
  • Optimisation and management of the internal sales structure operationally and disciplinarily
Your Profile
  • Successfully completed commercial-technical studies (industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, plastics technology or similar) or comparable training with focus on sales
  • At least 10 years of relevant work experience esp. in the automotive environment
  • Strong communication skills, confidence and enjoyment in dealing with customers
  • Business fluent in English
  • Very good MS Office skills
