Mutares SE & Co. KGaA, Munich (www.mutares.com), acquires medium-sized companies and parts of groups with headquarter in Europe that are being sold in the course of a repositioning process at their owners and show a clear potential for operational improvement. Mutares actively supports and develops its portfolio companies with its own investment and consulting teams as well as through acquisitions of strategic add-ons. Our goal is to acquire companies with a turnover of EUR 50 to 500 million. The aim is to achieve a clear value increase with a focus on sustainable, long-term growth of the portfolio company.

For one of our portfolio companies we are looking for a Sales Manager in Europe (m/f/d) as soon as possible.

The Sales Manager is responsible for all commercial aspects of the product portfolio. His/her tasks include, at project level, customer relationship management, new business development (acquisition), commercial management of future models up to product launch and commercial management of current models throughout the product life cycle.  The Sales Manager works with a cross-functional programme team led by a Programme Manager and is the main interface with the client's purchasing organisation (project level).

Your Tasks
  • Supports the definition of the customer strategy according to the product portfolio
  • Establish and develop a close relationship with the customer contacts (purchasing, technical, programes)
  • Organisation and implementation of concept workshops at customer site
  • Support in the acquisition of new projects and customer advice within the framework of the sales activity
  • Responsibility for commercial aspects of the project throughout the project life cycle
Your Profile
  • Successfully completed commercial-technical studies (industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, plastics technology or similar) or comparable training with focus on sales
  • At least 4 years of relevant work experience esp. in the automotive environment
  • Strong communication skills, confidence and enjoyment in dealing with customers
  • Business fluent in English
  • Very good MS Office skills
