Program - & Launch Management Manager / Director (m/f/d)

KGaA, Munich (www.mutares.com), acquires medium-sized companies and parts of groups with headquarter in Europe that are being sold in the course of a repositioning process at their owners and show a clear potential for operational improvement. Mutares actively supports and develops its portfolio companies with its own investment and consulting teams as well as through acquisitions of strategic add-ons. Our goal is to acquire companies with a turnover of EUR 50 to 500 million. The aim is to achieve a clear value increase with a focus on sustainable, long-term growth of the portfolio company.
Within our OPS team, we are looking to hire a leader who has a successful track record in Program-/ Launch-Management with a continuous improvement attitude and an entrepreneurial mindset. This role will be located at portfolio companies, on site across Europe.
Your Tasks- Support of our portfolio companies with the focus on Project- and Launch Management
- Analysis of the projects to identify status quo, deviations and risks plus definition and quantification of EBITDA improvement levers
- Lead task force programs for rapid improvements of critical business situations
- Definition of improvement road maps for Project-, Launch- and Engineering Change Management processes
- Leading and supporting (cross functional) international project teams to ensure successful project delivery and product launches incl. project status reporting
- Contribute to the development of Mutares standard processes by sharing knowledge & expertise and deploy best practices
- Taking on interim roles in the portfolio companies if required
- At least 5 years of international experience in automotive Project- and Launch Management role in industry or in consulting, 2 years' experience in consulting is mandatory
- Completed university degree, preferably mechanical/industrial engineering or equal education/study with advanced business knowledge
- Proven ability to lead and motivate international teams (in complex situations)
- Experience in handling multiple projects in parallel from sourcing phase till project end
- Good knowledge of project management processes - sourcing/project/launch/ engineering change management processes
- Structured and pragmatic approach to drive impact combined with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Professional communication and presentation of information, adapted to audience
- Willingness to travel (typically Mon-Thu)
- Fluency in English and one other European language
