Mutares SE & Co. KGaA, Munich (www.mutares.com), acquires medium-sized companies and parts of groups with headquarter in Europe that are being sold in the course of a repositioning process at their owners and show a clear potential for operational improvement. Mutares actively supports and develops its portfolio companies with its own investment and consulting teams as well as through acquisitions of strategic add-ons. Our goal is to acquire companies with a revenue of EUR 50 to 750 million. The aim is to achieve a clear value increase with a focus on sustainable, long-term growth of the portfolio company.
Within our OPS team, we are looking to hire a leader who has a successful track record in Supply Chain Management with a continuous improvement attitude and an entrepreneurial mindset. This role will be located at portfolio companies, on site across Europe.
Your Tasks
- Lead Supply Chain Stream in restructuring projects: Provide focused leadership, strategic direction and expertise in Supply Chain Operations
- Engage key stakeholders of Projects workstreams
- Define Turnaround concept and improvement glide path for Supply Chain (Service Level, Inventory, Logistics Costs, Process, Organization, Systems and Tools)
- Timeously Monitor action plans, provide training, carry out workshop
- Fill organizational gap in participation if necessary
- Contribute to the development of Mutares standard Processes by sharing knowledge & experience
- Enable synergies between portfolio companies, identify benchmarks, deploy best practices
- Support M&A-Team in due diligence with Supply Chain assessment and Analysis
Your Profile
- At least 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management (Automotive, Distribution, FMCG, etc…)
- Bachelor or master’s degree in Supply Chain / Engineering
- Logistical expertise in Supply Chain Processes (Material & Demand Planning, Production Control, Customer Service, Distribution, Transportation, Warehousing, Material Handling etc.)
- Knowledgeable in Lean Manufacturing (Problem Solving, Value Stream & Process Mapping, Pull System, Mizusumashi etc.)
- Broad knowledge of ERP systems / Ability to evaluate Information flow
- Good communication in speech and writing
- Team player / Hands on
- Social competence / empathy
- Fluency in English + any other European language(s)
- Entrepreneurial thinking and acting (Ability to navigate from Big Picture to details)
- Willingness to travel 4 days per week
