Mutares actively support its portfolio companies with its own investment and consulting teams and through strategic add-on acquisitions. The focus is on companies with revenues of EUR 100 million to EUR 750 million from the following segments: Automotive & Mobility, Engineering & Technology, Goods & Services and Retail & Food. The aim is to achieve a clear value increase with a focus on sustainable, long-term growth of the portfolio company.

Within our Tax team, we are looking to hire a leader with a continuous improvement attitude and an entrepreneurial mindset. 

Your Tasks
  • You support the integration and on-boarding of our portfolio companies with respect to the Mutares tax reporting and processes
  • You coordinate the processes for determining income taxes in accordance with IAS 12 / IAS 34 as part of the preparation of consolidated, annual and interim financial statements
  • You monitor the Group's tax risks and support the analysis of regulatory changes in (inter)national tax law and develop recommendations for measures to minimise tax risks
  • You further develop the internal processes in the area of transfer pricing, as well as monitoring and coordinating statutory documentation obligations (including country-by-country reporting, DAC 6, Pillar II, etc.)
  • You partner with the local finance team and Operations Finance workstream when it comes to tax and legal reorganization related projects
Your Profile
  • You have a degree in economics or a comparable qualification with a specialisation in tax and finance/ accounting
  • At least 4 years of experience in a tax consulting firm and/ or in a tax department of a corporate group, specialising in one of the following areas: National and international tax law / Tax accounting or accounting in accordance with local GAAP and IFRS / Tax compliance
  • Affinity for implementation of digitalisation and automation projects as well as knowledge of foreign accounting / tax law is a plus
  • Exceptional entrepreneurship to find and implement creative solution combined with drive to solve complex problems as well as resilience during distressed situations
  • Business fluent (written and spoken) in English and one other European language
