Mutares SE & Co. KGaA, Munich (www.mutares.com), as a listed private equity holding company, acquires medium-sized companies in special situations, based in Europe, which show significant operational improvement potential and are sold again after undergoing a repositioning and stabilization process. Mutares actively support its portfolio companies with its own investment and consulting teams and through strategic add-on acquisitions. The focus is on companies with revenues of EUR 100 million to EUR 750 million from the following segments: Automotive & Mobility, Engineering & Technology, Goods & Services and Retail & Food. The aim is to achieve a clear value increase with a focus on sustainable, long-term growth of the portfolio company.
Within our OPS team, we are looking to hire a leader who has a successful track record in Turnaround Management Office with a continuous improvement attitude and an entrepreneurial mindset. This role will be located at portfolio companies, on site across Europe.
Your Tasks
- Supporting our portfolio companies in their turnaround journey, by working closely with the management board and the Mutares team
- Establishing a business plan incl. a turnaround concept and driving the implementation together with the Mutares team and the portfolio company, including the management of different stakeholders
- Assessment of strategic decisions (e.g. Insourcing/Outsourcing) together with the local teams and the Mutares team
- Supporting the acquisition and integration process of add on acquisitions
- Establishing the management governance and coherent tracking and reporting within the portfolio company
Your Profile
- At least 4 years of experience in relevant fields and in transformations, restructuring or turnaround situations
- Master studies in the field of economics, engineering, science or similar with outstanding results
- Structured, pragmatic and hands-on approach to solve problems and drive impact combined with an entrepreneurial and team mindset
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams in complex situations with strong commitment and motivation
- Business fluency in German and English, another European language is a plus
- Willingness to travel 4 days per week within EUROPE (typ. Mo-Thu)
