As we continue to grow and broaden our footprint, we are expanding our Operations Team in the greater Chicago area. We are seeking an experienced professional with a proven track record in Turnaround Management Office within the restructuring sector - someone who embraces continuous improvement and brings an entrepreneurial mindset.
This role involves on-site work at portfolio companies located across US territory.
Your Tasks:
- Supporting our portfolio companies in their turnaround journey, by working closely with the management board and the Mutares team
- Establishing a business plan incl. a turnaround concept and driving the implementation together with the Operations team and the portfolio company, including the management of different stakeholders
- Assessment of strategic decisions (e.g. Insourcing/Outsourcing) together with the local teams and the Mutares team
- Supporting the acquisition and integration process of add on acquisitions
- Establishing the management governance and coherent tracking and reporting within the portfolio company
Your Profile:
- Successfully completed a degree in the field of economics, engineering, science or similar with outstanding results
- At least 7 years working experience in relevant fields and in transformations, restructuring or turnaround situations
- Structured, pragmatic and hands-on approach to solving problems and driving impact combined with an entrepreneurial and team mindset
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to communicate and manage change effectively
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams in complex situations with strong commitment and motivation
- Business fluency in English with the ability to communicate in a well-structured and concise manner another language is a plus
- Proficiency with the MS-Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint)
- Willingness to travel 4 days per week (typ. Mon-Thu)
